  • What is Augmented Reality? 
    Augmented Reality (AR) is the ability to add digital layers on top of the physical world around the user. A digital layer might be consisted of 3D animated characters, images, videos, text, sound etc.
  • What is an AR editor?
    It is a special storytelling tool for composing complex messages built on a special Augmented Reality technology. It allows users to express emotions and deliver complicated ideas in a very visual and innovative way.
  • Is AR editor available on my device?
    The AR editor is available on every device with Snaappy application installed. However, the full 3D immersive experience is enabled only on AR supported devices.
  • How do I add a friend in Snaappy?
    Firstly, your friend needs to install the Snaappy app on his smartphone. Secondly, make sure that his phone number is in your phone’s address book. In this case, your friend will be automatically added to your Snaappy contact list, and you’ll be able to text or call him.
  • Why can't I see my friends in Snaappy?
    If your friend has installed the Snaappy app, but you can't see him in your Snaappy contact list, open your address book and make sure you have his phone number. If you've just added your friend's phone number to your address book, but you can't see him in the Snaappy contact list, try to refresh the contact list. Just pull it down to refresh.
  • How do I send an emoji?

    Android

    • Android 2.0 to 4.0. You can install any emoji-enabled keyboard available in Google Play (such as Google Keyboard);
    • Samsung devices (Android 4.4+). Press and hold the microphone (or gear) icon located to the left of the space bar on your keyboard;
    • Nexus devices (Android 4.4+). Press the smiley icon located in the lower right corner of your keyboard;
    • Android 4.1+. You can install any emoji-enabled keyboard available in Google Play (such as Google Keyboard);
    • Android 5.0+. Press and hold the Send button on your keyboard. The smiley button will appear.

    iOS

    • Switch to emoji keyboard and send your emoji as usual.
  • Why don't I receive new message notifications?
    If you experience delays with Snaappy notifications, check your Internet connection and make sure the Sounds and Notifications Settings are correct. This issue may also occur on devices with built-in power saving features. Open the phone settings and allow applications to run in background mode (this option is usually found in Battery settings).
  • How do I make calls in Snaappy?
    Make sure that you and the person you're calling are using the latest version of Snaappy.
  • How do I exchange audio files?
    The MP3 file exchange feature is currently under development. When it’s released, you’ll be able to exchange MP3, PDF, DOC, XLS, and more.
  • I didn't receive the SMS code. What should I do?
    Make sure you entered the phone number correctly. If you haven’t received the SMS code, our automated system will call you. If you don’t receive an SMS or a call, please contact us at support@snaappy.com
  • The app says my phone number is invalid. What should I do?
    Make sure the phone number you entered follows the international format, and try again.
  • What are "Snaappy clips" and how do I use them?
    Clips are an innovative technology for placing a character on a picture or a photo, and sending the results to your Snaappy friends or sharing them in social media.
  • What is Live-typing and how do I use it?
    Live-typing is a technology allowing you to see what the other person is typing, in real time. Communicating through Live-typing is faster, efficient, and secure — messages created by Live-typing are not stored on the server.
  • What is a personal profile?
    The Personal profile is a section of our application where you can store up to 5 photos. Other users can view, comment, or like your photos.
  • How do I get more characters?
    To download additional characters, press the button located in the lower right corner of the characters window. Pressing this button will take you to the character download screen. Here all character packs are available for free! In the settings window you can select the display order for your character packs in the chat window, or even make some of the downloaded character packs invisible.
  • Does Snaappy have a web-based version and how do I use it?
    A web-based version is currently under development.
  • Why does Snaappy ask permission to access my address book?
    Snaappy needs to access your address book to identify which of your friends are registered Snaappy users.
  • What devices are supported?
    Currently, Snaappy runs on Android and iPhone devices. A web-based version is under development.
